Who I Am
Hi there, I’m Sasha! I offer virtual therapy for clients in Massachusetts. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner.
I have a strong interest in the mind, in human evolution, and in how our modern day lives are so different from how we evolved. I try to collect ways that we can use our bodies to tell our minds that we’re safe and okay in the daily chaos that is living in the 21st century. I am trying to re-learn how to live with respect for our world as we enter a time of climate change and massive societal change.
I try my best to bring compassion and curiosity to all of these interests and to all of the ways that I interact with my clients.
I became a therapist after spending my college years studying both philosophy and mindfulness. I love the work because it allows me to put to practical use all that I’ve learned, and it holds me accountable to never stop growing and gaining more knowledge.
In sessions, I’m engaged, invested, and playful. If you’re looking for someone to just sit and listen, I’m not your girl. I’ll be giving you input, directing your attention to more helpful avenues of thought and feeling, and listening to not just what your say verbally but what your nervous system is saying physically. If that sounds interesting, reach out!
Outside of work, you can catch me spending time with friends and loved ones, annoying my cat, reading lots of books, and getting out in nature.
